OCAU String Players' Thread

Hi there everyone!

I thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread for String players, or more specifically, Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass Players.

Personally I play the 'Cello and have for 6 years. I'm about Grade 6 AMEB level, however, I take my time really - not that serious about the intstrument.

Actually, I recently got a new Fullsize Cello and pickup which should be fun to play with ^_^

Any other String Players here?

Heya Genesis

I'm a violin player of about 17 years now. Started when I was 7 years old at the Stoliarsky Russian School of Music in West End. I've played in a heap of orchestras starting from the Stoliarsky strings, Cleveland Strings & Symphony Orchestra, QLD Youth Orchestra and my school orchestras too. Did 8th grade AMEB but decided not to do any other grades above that cause I just liked playing pieces. I haven't played in any groups in soooo long. I miss it.

I've got a copy of a Paolo Maggini full size violin.
