Default Mario Kart DS (Something Missing?)

Tis my gf's bday tomorrow and I bought her a white DS Lite with Mario Kart DS. Seeing as we're both working tomorrow, I let her open it today. However, I was worried about something. In the Mario Kart DS case, the small disc was there, BUT there was room for something else above it about twice the size (it had plastic 'holders' there as well). So I though perhaps something was missing?

If anyone has bought Mario Kart DS, is it supposed to come with anything other than the card and instruction booklets?

the empty spot is there to hold GBA-sized accessories that come with some games, like the rumble pak in metroid prime pinball.

in fact, thats the only game i know of that comes with something in that GBA cartridge slot.

also makes for a nice spot to put your pokemon rescue team red cart in above your pokemon rescue team blue one

The flash memory for the Opera browser (that takes up a GBA slot) would also be in that space, too, I assume.

That is, if it were sold in Australia.

So the DS is theoretically able to browse the Internet?

All the reviews i've seen for the browser report that its very clunky and takes a long time to render webpages.
