i don't think it is going to happen, even with an asteroid crash, unless the planet was destroyed, ppl will just underground, same with a nuke winter.

we are like cockroaches and i don't think anything bar the earth being destroyed will kill us off.

there is no chance that global warming will kill everyone, there will always be enough natural resources for some level of population to survive.

even our degraded genetics won't stop us, i mean how long till we will be able to genetically engineer the makeup of our children 20 maybe 50 years at the most.

even some super-mega virus of death will not kill everyone, out of 6 billion people i am sure at least a few will survive.

survival of the fittest worked for ages, but with the advent of medicine, surgery, IVF etc etc we are gradually bringing dodgy genes into our pool.

The bad genes wont take over... the good genes are just as capable of passing to the next generation

But they will mix and then generations down the road just about everyone will have shitty genes.

I was reading, "American Scientist" and they think things like "MS" started from only a few people and all other dieseases.

Its almost a certainty that a few will survive - viruses that are effective at killing their hosts don't last very long.

Generations down the road aren't necessarily going to have the same genes as us.

But if those people were to mix, then it still won't ever be a major problem except for those who inbreed... So hopefully the racial supremacists will die out.
