Socket370 just talks about the socket itself.

FC-PGA (Flip-Clip Pin Grid Array) speaks about an implementation of the socket, just like PPGA (Plastic Pin Grid Array) one of the other alternatives).

PGGA covers all Celeron chips up to the 533, and FC-PGA covers Coppermine CPUs, and Celeron 533A and beyond.

And yes you're right, grey area, but does belong in the newbie forum IMO.

yes sabertooth i have to agree: i love the eloquent prose and sophisticated arguments this poster has put forth to prove the dominance of one company over another.

i am now fully convinced, thanks to this brilliant piece of writing, that "intels sux anyways".

LoL true....true!! i was gona say that i personaly prefer AMD but have found intel to be a more stable platform for people that have a small knolage of computers so when i tell someone to buy a system or sell a system i tell them to go with the intel unless i know they have a middle to high level of computer knowlage in that case i sell them a AMD t-bird AXIA with a big MoFo cooler haha J/K
