Default Anyone used the Xbox 360 FF wheel on a PC?

Anyone used the new Xbox 360 force feedback wireless wheel on a PC?

How did it perform and can you simply buy one of the wired recharge kits and therefore plug it into USB or do you need the PC wireless adapter?

Is the FF function of this wheel actually supported in any PC racers yet? If so then what games? GTR2 and rfactor would be obvious choices.

It's in the JB Hifi games catalogue - out Nov 30th, $179, and says 'Bonus X360 Project Gotham Racing 3 Force Feedback Edition!'... which sounds interesting.

Looks like for those who already have PGR3 you can download a patch to the Force Feedback version.

As far as I know it just runs off a standard wireless battery pack (ie... 2 x AA). However this only supports the rumble/wireless feature. The battery life is likely to be similar to standard wireless controller.

If you want true force feedback effects then you will need to plug it in to mains power.

Interesting that it has been seen at HN even before the release date, I wonder if it was actually for sale or just a demo model?

You have to buy a microsoft xbox 360 wireless receiver for any Wireless Xbox 360 accessory to work on your PC...so until that comes out (early next year) we'll have to wait until then.
