Default Effing Frogs at night..

Well I live in a suburban area. The people diagonally behind us have a pool, but her husband died so there is no one to maintain/look after the place.

As a result the pool turned black, and mosquitoes were breeding in it. A few neighbours complained the the council, and they were forced to drain the pool as a water test came back it was polluted with algae, and full of mosquito larvae.

Anyway so the pools been drained pretty much (obviously rain and whatever has left a little bit of water in the pool)..

Guess what? Now friggin frogs are breeding like wildfire in the pool/empty pool.

But this isnt the worst part of it (oh no!) .. they are croaking like anything, really loud of a night (they start around 8pm) and go through til like 3-4am.

Anyway problem is they are so loud, even with doors and windows shut you can still hear them quite decently, and its putting me off my sleep.

I'm just wondering what the course of action should be?? Obviously poisoning them is illegal so cross that one out, and I'm unsure what the council or RSPCA could do (being they are wild).

Anyone had a similar issue?

They haven't started invading our yard yet, but it cant be too far away.

Mate, I know how you are feeling.

When we first moved house when I was about 10, the place we moved to had a little creek up the back of our house, not too far from my bedroom. Hundreds of frogs used to croak all night. At first I found it disturbing and it affected my sleep, but I realised, that it only really disturbed me If i focused on it / let my mind make it a real problem, in the sense that, the more attention I payed to it, the worse it became to me.

I started to think, oh well, there is nothing I can really do about it, and frog noise, is a hell of a lot better than the noise of cars going past (we used to live on a busy road).

Whether or not this will work for you - I would try doing your best just not to let it get to you.

They're probably croaking and reprogramming your brain while you sleep. Then they'll use you to take over the world for them.

We have our own pool, and we certainly don't want them moving properties and breeding in our pool/properties.

Apparently the people next to us (who are directly backing onto property) have had frogs all along the back of their fence of a night.
