Default VHDL software (pref. free)

Hi all,

can anyone please make any recommendations for some good VHDL software for Windows, preferably free?

At a stretch commercial is ok, but I'd prefer to stay legal (and within my budget). This is for home/hobbyist use, not commercial.

Thanks in advance,
Gizmomelb
