We have so much discussion on the various consoles here, please fill out the form above so we can see what consoles everyone has.
I have included the Nintendo Wii and the Sony PS3 in the list because there is a possibility that someone may have imported one, and it also allows people to vote for the Wii when its released next week (or I guess you can vote now if you've already pre-ordered). Anyway, please discuss what consoles you own, how much you play them, what games you play on them, and why you bought the console. Please keep all fanboy comments out of here, I just want to see what the ownership stats are like, and why you own the console. Last edited by break; 1st December 2006 at 12:59 PM. |

I voted, but this would be much more relevant after xmas buying bonanza is over. Probably will change greatly in that time. (Esp cos 2 out of 3 next gen consoles aren't release quite yet)

Love my XBOX 360 to death
Clearly the best next gen console. With games like Viva Pinata it shows that you can have just as much "fun" on a XBOX 360 as you can have on a Wii. Plus XBOX Market place kicks soo much ass and there are some awsome Arcade games out and coming. Double Dragon was just announced which is awsome |

From your list, I own the Gamecube, PS2 and will soon own the Wii.
Will also be getting a PS3, once the price drops a fair bit. Got the Nintendo's, as I love the classics like mario and DK, while the PS2 is there for the more 'grown up' games like GT.

TOX will you stop trying to hi-jack everyone's threads with how much better the Xbox 360 is than the Wii, this is a what console you own thread not Im a fanboy hear me go on about my console!
Anyway I have a Gamecube, bought it as it was so cheap $100 including Mario Party 7 or 8 (Cant remember ) Brand New from Toys R Us, cant beat that seeing as MP 8 when this deal was on was worth $100 itself. And of course had to buy it too play all the old favs of Zelda, Mario, NBA Street (Doesnt really fit lol), Pikmin, RE4 and more. I have a SP as they are again are just so cheap and are very portable and are great fun to have to play games on the move and fits in your pckets no probs. Then I bought an original DS as soon as it came out as it was just something so different and was very intruiging and has so much scope to progress with and it had a Mario Kart and new mario released in it, how can you say no too that! And then last week I upgraded and got myself a lite, wow they are fantastic the screen is awesome and its so light and sexy And have been playing wario ware, brain training, trauma centre and phoenix wright all top class games (Cant wait for the new Pokemon! I also own a Xbox basically for its media capibilities which are just so handy and they have the latest version of 2k (2k7) which is always good fun to play. And I have pre-ordered the Wii and cant wait to get my hands on that in under a week now, Im so stoked, Zelda looks awesome and so does Wii Sports for great fun. And the titles like Trauma Centre, Mario, Metroid and many more too come out on the console how can you go wrong. Finally I think that is all!

I have got a PSP, PS2 and XBOX but the 360 is clearly the best console I have ever owned. I had a N64 and also a Dreamcast. I like playing multiplayer games and jumping into Uno or firing up Hold Em with fellow OCAU 360 fans is so much fun and such a good laugh. |

Please keep the personal attacks to yourselfs. Just because TOX likes his 360 and says why he likes it, there is no need to claim he is hi-jacking the thread.
************************** Anyway, heres my consoles... Nintendo Gamecube: I bought this at release for $320 because it was not only the cheapest console at the time, but because I had always been a fan of Nintendo and was confident that Nintendo could pick up the market again as the days of fun N64 games were long gone and the N64 market was full of poorly developed 3rd party games. I, like the N64, quickly learned to love the game lineup. Mario Sunshine was a great spin on the Mario series, but it was dissapointingly short. Then came Zelda which was a great game, but just didn't have the same awe inspiring moments as Ocarina of time did on the N64. Metroid was also a great game, but by far the most enjoyment I had on my Gamecube was two gamepads and a few rounds of Soul Calibur 2. The games slowly drifted off and titles never really dropped in price, always hovering around $80-100... prohibitting me from playing games such as Paper Mario and Resident Evil 4 which looked quite good. Nintendo DS Lite: I originally bought a Nintendo DS phat on release, but quickly became bored with the game lineup as the revisited Mario 64 was good, but just didn't have a control scheme that worked for me. I sold the DS phat no long after and decided to not bother with handhelds until something caught my eye. I waited and waited and before long the DS Lite was here and flash carts were perfected, and now I love my DS Lite for games like 'Pheonix Wright' and 'Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time'. Nintendo Wii (pre-ordered): I don't think I need to even explain why I pre-ordered this. I'm quite happy to pay $500 just to play the new Zelda... thats how much I love the Zelda series. I don't own a HD TV so the lack of HD doesn't bother me in the slightest, neither does the online play that the Xbox 360 excels at as I don't really play many online games (both with my DS and my PC). The new controls intrigue me, and after playing Wii Sports (bowling and tennis) at a recent demo I was hooked... I don't care what the graphics look like... a few friends and Wii Sports and I can see a night wasting away very quickly |

For me I have PS2, Xbox, PSP, Xbox360 and I have pre-ordered the PS3 and looking at the Wii.
I had a DS which my cousin now has. Yes i like to spend money on useless things, but i am allowed to so leave me alone.
