Well with the Wii only a day or so away for the 30,000 of us who have pre-ordered I thought we should get a thread going dedicated to discussion of games on the system seeing as how the general Wii thread is now some 193 pages long
PM me with anything you would like to have added to this post. |

Personally I am kind of disappointed that Excite Truck seems to have fallen of the face of the earth with regards to a local launch date
.Looking forward to Zelda though, and even some Red Steel despite reviews |

Zeldas a definite for me.
Ill probably spend the first week or so fucking round with wii sports and wii play, then pick up games after that Red steel i probably wont get. Too many bad reviews Super monkeyball I will. From what ive seen and read its a blast. Marvel: Ultimate alliance i have on pc, and its a hoot, so ill consider getting it for wii Excite truck looks pretty awesome too, and is getting decent reviews. not a lot from the launch really grabs me as super awesome though, but im going to the midnight launch anyway ![]() I'm really waiting for super swing golf, super smash brawl and the as of yet unannounced star wars game though

I didn't think I would play WiiSports all that much either but since I got the system I've played it as much as Zelda, and Zelda is an awesome game. Tennis, bowling and baseball are lots of fun. Golf and boxing are okay but golf needs better input reception when putting and boxing needs to register every hook and jab, not every other punch like it currently does.
Make sure you make Mii's of your entire family, seeing your mom or grandfather come up to bat and hit a homerun is a blast. Enjoy your Wii when you get it!

Can't wait until tomorrow. Going to be so much fun !!
![]() I'm getting the following games: Zelda: TP Super Monkey Ball Rayman: Raving Rabbids Wii Play Wii Sports And I'll probably be playing them in the reverse order of that list. Not going to have my component cables for a while still it seems (pre-ordered from Play-Asia), so I'll be saving Zelda until they come. ![]() I can see myself spending a really long time in the Mii channel, making family / friends / celebrities. 1 more sleep !!!! |

These component cables will piss me off, because I want to play TP but if it's not at it's max potential aesthetically.. ah well.. whatever.

from what i can gather and all the reviews. the pick of the litter for the launch titles is Zelda, Rayman and Super Monkey Ball. most of the ubisoft games have been complete travesties.

GT Pro Series has been getting very bad review scores. If you can convince Myer to give you another game, I would deffinately take that, unless you really want the included steering wheel attatchment.

Anybody got an ETA on Splinter Cell??
Forgetting Zelda, as it is obvioulsy going to be an absolutely superb game, the only other one I'm looking at is COD3. But if the singleplayer campaign isn't up to scratch then I might hold out until somethign better comes along. After reading reviews of Red Steel, nothing else in the launch appeals to me.

If COD3 is anything like the Xbox360 version I won't be touching it. I'll wait to someone else gets it first so I can see if it's as glitchy, then decide.
I'm just getting Zelda for now, and will wait to see the other games in person before buying others. Wii Sports i'll definitely be playing though, since I love those stuff-around type games. I still play California Games
