Hmm. I also tried to catch a fish by reeling with the nunchuck, as thats how I had to do it when I played at the mall. It wasnt working, so I looked in the Zelda manual and it said what I previously posted.

Must have been a coincidence.

At the start of the game you get a fishing rod that doesnt have a reel, only a line, so you just pull back when the fish is on the hook.
The fishing rod with the reel is later in the game.

Yep. That's what I was saying here.

You use the nunchuck to real it in when you are fishing in the boat with the better rod. When you are just standing on the bank, with the crappy first rod, you just put your hand straight up.

I got Red Steel with my Wii.

Yeah, all the reviews I read didn't really say it was that good. Despite that it feels like a rushed launch title, what all the reviews I've read fail to mention is that Red Steel is Goldeneye for the Wii. From the blue armor vests you pick up (as well as the sound) to the "aiming mode" and the AI. Pity the graphics look like Goldeneye too, but hey, if you want an FPS that pushes the polys, go back to your 360.

Despite all that, I'm having a blast playing the game, and I haven't even gotten into the "bullet time" mode yet.

JB were advertising that the new FarCry game would be available with the Wii launch. Did anyone get it and what's it like with the Wii controller?

How does spin work in bowling? Is it the twist you have when you release the ball of remote or something else because I try and hold it straight the whole time and it tends to always spin a fair distance too the left.

Excellent question I have the exact same problem. Had a quick game with the old girl last night and she managed to bowl 2 strikes in a row dead straight but couldn't work out what she was doing differently.

I've found it to be to do with how you twist the remote when you bowl. Mine curves to the right naturally (I'm left handed), but I can get it to spin left by twisting the controller anti-clockwise as I follow through with the swing.

Rotating like a clock about the A button or just twisting it along its length from D-Pad to Wii at the bottom?

The second one. Like if you were pointing the remote directly forwards at the screen. Hope that makes sense !

Yep, that should do it. I think the quicker / further you twist the remote, the more spin you will end up with. It's pretty easy to get too much spin.
