Default digital watch alarm

i have a casio g-shock watch and recently when i changed the battery something poped out and i lost it, now there is no sound/alarm....what actually makes the noise in a watch...how does it work? is there any good websites with a basic explaination

It would probably be some sort of Piezoelectric Buzzer I think.

Not too sure if they are easy to replace or not.

I believe its a Piezo, though I'm not entirely sure. It generally lives, at least it did on the couple of Casio watches I pulled apart, on the back cover ofthe watch. I think some of them have a tiny spring contact or similar that makes contact with the piezo.

You've probably lost the spring contact for the buzzer on the back of the watch. I do remember that part of the buzzer piece was insulated so that if you put the cover on upside down, the buzzer wouldn't work.

No idea on availability of spares or anything like that unfortunately.

yes that is what i have lost the spring(cos it flew out as i opened it......crap..no chance of finding it from somewhere else..maybe i can pull apart a pin from an old watch belt..maybe that spring will be big enough..
any other spings come to mind??

Its a well known watch from a good supplier go see a jewler and quick fix no problem :-)

any small spring should work. Even a strand of wire folded over a few times might do the trick.

battery just died..just my luck...i will take it to the shop and ask how much he is gonna charge me for the spring, if its more than 10 bucks i will try the spring in the watch belt pin and if that does not work i will try a piece of wire...
