Default HP iPAQ rx4240 - Viewing network shares?!?

Hey,

I have my iPAQ on the network and can access the Internet fine. But using the built in file explorer I can't connect to any shares on my other networked computers!

I have tried connecting using the path \\192.168.0.3\ and \\phils-computer\
But both give errors: "The network path was not found" and "Network resource cannot be found or you do not have permission to access the network."

This is using Windows Mobile 5.0 over the wireless attempting to connect to shares on windows XP SP2 with no firewalls installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

try installing a program called resco file explorer and see if that solves the problem...

EDIT: or this this freeware program http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm

i managed to get file explorer to work:

you need to specify the path as:

\\[computer name]\[share name]\

That worked for me
