Hi all, first time posting here and I'm after a little advice.
I've got an Inspiron 600m here that's in need of some repairs. What's wrong with isn't exactly hardware, more like problems with the actual enclosure (busted power button, broken lcd tab thingy, dodgy mouse buttons etc.). Unfortunately it's out of warranty by about 6 months. Dell quoted a whopping $700 for an additional year of extended warranty (parts, labour, accident/theft etc.), and for 2 yrs it comes just under $1k. Personally I don't think it's worth the cost seeing the laptop is nearly 2 years old. Hence, does anyone know any reputable repair venues in Melbourne that can do these kind of jobs without charging an arm and a leg? I know new parts will be needed (top panels/palmrest etc.) but I imagine something like this should cost too much? Thanks, and any help much appreciated.

You can probably source the required casing from eBay (overseas) and replace it referring to Dell's service manual, which may be found on Dell's support page.
