Default 17" HP $2300 any good?

The officeworks catalog just in my letterbox has the HP dv9018TX for $2300, down from $2700.

1.66 Core2Duo
1 GB RAM
120GB HD
17" Widescreen.
Dedicated Graphics (according to the ad. which is a GeForce Go 7600 according to the review).

I use a HP at work and can't fault the build, dug up this review:

Is there any others worthy of consideration? Dell don't seem competitive at the moment with the price.

Hey Man,

I just recently acquired a HP DV9007TX.

I Love it to bits. Although 5cm wider than my previous notebook I can not complain due to the extensive features.

The differences between the DV9007TX from the one @ office works is

* TV Tuner Card with Remote
* Windows MCE 2005
* 512Mb of Graphics Memory
* 2 x 80Gb Drives

I got mine from HN for $2699 after a bit of Haggling. It runs HL2, Quake 4, GTA perfectly.

The only thing that is taking a bit of getting used to is the 1/2 sized right hand shift key. For the first week or so you will be pressing the ^ arrow and the / key. Once you get used to it you will find the full keyboard with the numpad awesome. Another thing you need to keep in mind is that it is intended as a desktop replacement, hence it is larger than other notebooks that you can purchase.

As it has bluetooth i got myself one of these

Works awesomely. the best part is that coz its bluetooth you don't need to worry about any dongles!

If you want any more info just give me a PM :-)
