Default Laptop GFX upgradeable? Presario v6000

Hi there. Just asking about a friends laptop GFX. Trying to figure if it is at all possible to upgrade GFX card in this laptop. Looked on google I cant find an answer.

System is a Compaq Presario V6000. Its an AMD turion x2 with a Gefore GO 6150 and apparently a 430? chipset or something, I really dont know anything about laptops but I have heard this is intergrated GFX?

Would there be any free expansion slots for a dedicated GFXcard, or can the 6150 be upgraded somehow? Thing seems a little slow atm.

I really hope answer is yes, but I expect not.

The GO 6150 is integrated into the motherboard, therefore you cannot upgrade it. Dont worry, most other laptops with high end graphics cards cannot be upgraded.

Ok yea,, thats pretty much what I thought. Thanks.

And there is definatley no other way like using a free slot on the motherboard and disabling the onboard gfx? Sorry for dumb questions I just want to make totally sure that he is stuck with the 6150.

We just ran some painkiller on it, that was ok but the thing does struggle a little on anything really gfx intensive.

They got this system in a special deal and there was not much selection, and i was going to recommend them get the model with a 7600 but before I knew what was what they already had this thing.... I sorta feel responsible but I made it clear I was still comparing models for them, but they already bought this 1 before I knew so its not really my fault.. oh well..

Thanks again.

No other way but to increase your system ram. The 6150 and 7200 cards are at the very low end of laptop graphics, only performing better than the ATI X200.
