Default Problem with new laptop...

I recently purchased the metabox 735 by clevo from laptopchoice.com.au...

I'm having problems with the DVD player running in PIO mode instead of DMA mode, causing DVDs to play choppy etc.

I have Vista RTM installed, but the same thing happened when I had XP installed...

it won't let me put it on DMA mode and there seems to be no bios settings that I can change....

i've tryed forcing it in regedit, but it didn't seem to do anything... I didn't really know what I was doing though...

do you guys think it's something I can fix? or should I call warrenty?

Are all the drivers installed? (i.e. mobo, SATA (if applicable), etc.)

In device manager, delete the DVD drive and restart the computer. If this doesn't work, I'd probably call 'em.
