hey all

my friend and i are going to be recording a demo mix which we are going to pass onto a promoter at this party.

they are looking for fresh new faces and i thought it would be a great way to get a gig.

so what we need, is a dj name thats not to cheesy or common, but is pretty funky and dark, bit twisted, full random name...

so far we have come up with the following names:

Therapy
Lot B
Fraught
World Inc.
Escapism
Obscure
Wired
2Wired

can you come up with anything interesting?

Dont know if my words are what you are looking for but some of them would sound sweet in a DJ name.

have a big think about this because this is how you are going to market yourself and give the first impression about what your musical styling will be.

took me freaking ages to come up with mine and even then i changed around a few times which i look back as set backs (but then i changed that to re-invention)

i always thought dj names were totally shit unless its already your nickname

when i used to play in clubs i just used my actual name, didnt lose any street cred!

Don't know what its like in sydney but a lot of top dj's in melboure ie just club ones generally just use their own names
