Default Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi Notebook, Opinions Please

Hey everyone, I have a friend and shes selling her Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi. Unsure how her extended warranty works but it still has warranty just over 1 year. Condition is great, no marks I can see and its pretty good. Comes with Windows XP Pro, no disc of course just the recovery on hard drive.

Pretty much my needs for this notebook is to go uni, having long battery life for lectures, no gaming, light and portable plus if possible is capable of vista although not essential.

Specs of the notebook are below:

She purchased the notebook for $2600, her asking price now is $1400. What are peoples opinion regarding this notebook. Thanks heaps.
