Aye, preferably without the dust on the lens/sensor

Rarely will you find a dust-free sensor.
Several times now I've put people to the test by taking an f/22 shot and finding dust which they never thought was there.

Few sensors leave the factory dust-free!

Ahhh yes; in that boat as well.

The 50/1.2 really feels like a lens though. One of the few weathersealed primes out there but g'damm its a premium for a few ISO clicks.

That is some sweet kit though Nap, I'd insure it Looking forward to seeing some shots.

yes, it was purchased from Digitalrev.com direct. They had listings on ebay but i discovered if you order direct from their website its cheaper, and they pay for GST/import taxes etc in their UPS shipment. Can't believe how fast it was, took them 2 days to deliver everything directly from HK.

That's a nice set of gear.

Hope it doesn't give you too much pressure to perform - you can't blame it on the equipment anymore!

What's wrong with the Transcend 120x cards? I recently bought a 4gb one to complement my 1gb Ultra II. Sandisk isn't the only maker of good memory cards

Sandisk CF cards were too expensive, plus I heard some of them were fake so I didn't want to risk it.

SanDisk 8GB CF Extreme IV $780
Transcend 8GB 120X Compact Flash Memory Card $228

Looks like you need the 85mm 1.2L (I swear it has to be the hottest looking lens ever).

Forgive my ignorance but blowers are really pretty basic pieces of technology.

Care to outline the differences between a cheapie and a 'top of the line' rubber air mover?

Other than volume (and obviously changes to pressure) what could you actually achieve by paying more?

I reckon the people that would buy the 50/1.2 would need it for the DOF more than anything..

I mean, the price difference between the 1.4 and the 1.2 is ridiculous, much easier and cheaper to bump up the ISO like you said

That lens produces the most amazing photos, but for what I'm doing I don't need those lens for now..

The more expensive ones have a one way valve where the air is sucked from the back and blown out the front. This stops the blower sucking in dust and then blowing it straight back onto the sensor.
