Just picked up one of these puppies. It's of absolutely no value on its own, of course, but it's the first step towards getting a full underwater housing for a Canon EOS 5D (or equivalent.) In the meantime, it'll stay in its box on the shelf. (The other odds and ends are on my wishlist; I'll be trickling them into the country as money allows, to avoid paying GST and customs duties on about $2k worth of components. The rest, of course, will be too big to avoid those duties ... such is life.)

i got a new Sigma 28mm f/1.8 'macro'
got it 1 week after i ordered - thumbs up to Quikshop only tested this lens, im quite impressed. seems to be sharp and it can focus to things about 5cm away from the front element! its hard to get the focus right with the close distance and f/1.8 though for distanced shots it seems sufficiently sharp and distortions are pretty good. no regrets so far

Got my hands on a FA 35mm f/2 second hand. Closest thing to a 31mm f/1.8 Ltd and it's the bee's knees.

I thought the 70-200 came with a petal hood? Or is that just the 2.8?

I reckon petal hoods look better, but this one will do what it's meant to do. Doesn't need to look pretty.
