If you're there on a day when I'm there, I'd be keen on having a bit of a play. I haven't used a 300 2.8L before...

Edit: Looks like today and Sunday are my days.

Well ... I'm booked in for Saturday. Does anybody want to try and actually plan a bit of a proper meetup somewhere?

Forecast for Saturday doesn't look all that great. Clearing rain...

I'll most likely be there Saturday that. If you see someone walking around with a 1d Mk II + Sigma 100-300 f/4 & 20D + Sigma 24-70 and a guy with a 1ds Mk II + 70-200... that's probably me So just come and be like 'OCAU? '

Hopefully the weather will be good, overcast won't be that great.

Well I'm probably the only one going on Sunday. The weather for that day is looking the best though.

I'm going on Sunday. Saturday's weather is simply not making it worthwhile.

Yikes, three bodies?

Would have been there on Friday except I bought my Weird Al ticket a while ago and that's a Friday evening show. Ah well.

Nah. I only own the 20D, 24-70 and 100-300. The 1d Mk II, 1ds Mk II & 70-200 are my friends. He'll be using the 1ds + 70-200.

Agreed that Saturdays weather looks shit. 19 degrees tops in Geelong, but rain is supposed to clear by early morning. Hopefully it won't be TOO bad.

My dad just scored some more tickets, looks like I'll be going Sunday too

Give me a PM if you want to meet up or something.

My cousin and I will be heading down there from Sydney, sporting Nikons with 70-200s on Sunday. My little brother is also tagging along, to be the 'mule' and carry all our equipment!

Looking forward to it as I've never been to an airshow before. Weather report for Geelong on Sunday is currently Fine, 12-19C !

Well ... at the moment I'm still planning to brave it out tomorrow. The weather doesn't actually look too bad for most of the day, and if the crowd numbers are down because of it, then it'll only make my life easier!

That's the way I was thinking about it! Less people = better spots for photos.

Back in 2005 when I still had the G3, I snuck into one of the media corners for the whole day

Cool ... I'll be looking out for you. I'll be running around in a yellow canon vest on the whole day.
