Good online shops - Pickups

Hey All,

I'm after some places online that I could purchase some pickups. New or 2nd hand. Anyone recommend some music related forums so I can scout the for sale threads?

I'm probably going to go a set of EMG pickups.

pickups in the USA are SOOO much cheaper over there then here.

id use ebay.com(US one)

An active set of EMG's(for bass) In Australia Cost $379, in the USA its $200(AUS) shipped to my door

as you can see, thats $179 difference

Looking at guitar, lead.

Just sitting at my desk throwing around ideas. I've wanted an EMG 81/85 setup for a while and I see they now do a 'Zakk Wylde' or 'Kerry King' pack at a slight discount.

Might call up the local Billy Hyde and haggle... after I check out eBay USA

Well eBay USA looked pretty good to me. Zakk Wylde EMG kits USA$250au. Vs AUS$300au. AUS varies with kits from $300-355!

Shop around, i once had an 81 and 85 (seperate sales same shop) in my watched items with a combined buy it now/shipping total of $190 AUD. Ended up not doing it tho as i bought a new guitar instead.

Depends on your needs. I have always had my pickups installed - included in the retail price. Sure you can save some money but there are always drawbacks.
