Hi guys, i know this would proberbly be better off in the "Wanted to buy" or "What/Where should i buy" threads, but I quite possibly have a better chance in here to ask my question as you guys are ripping sff machines /Laptops apart quite often and possibly a few laptop repair /techs in here.
The question? I have a toshiba Satalite 3000, Its seen better days and is well out of warrenty. I have done some repairs, such as resoldering the DC jack and the headphone connector but somehow ive managed to break the locking tab on the screen (the thingy that locks the lid down to the logic upper shell) I was wondering if anyone would have one that is compatable that they are willing to sell me or even order for me pending the price. If i can get this peice in, i can start modding my laptop! (sorry admins if you all cop a flood of "ZOMG ITS BEEN POSTED IN THE WRONG THREAD" reports, but ive posted in the wanted to buy forum with no luck)

You could have a look on Ebay for a broken laptop of the same type (dead mainboard, damaged LCD, or any other failure which will render it essentially worthless without damaging the part that you need).

not cheap IMO toshiba charge a fair bit for their parts however if you need a latch, you'll pay the $6 they ask

I've been told remote control car hobby stores are the best place for cheap high quality screws.
You bring your laptop and ask them to see if they got any that fit!
