not for a couple of months at the very least, nvidia havent even released their budget dx10 cards for desktop users yet.

Here's a Clevo laptop with a new DX10 video card in it, but don't expect it to be available for a while, it was spotted at Cebit.

I have a Dell 9300, and I am waiting for the new dx10 laptops to come out so I can upgrade. It is great with 2gb of ram and a 7800gtx, the only thing it lacks is a dual core cpu. No point in upgrading to that just yet with dx10 just around the corner...

So it might be worth waiting. Considering that you can rarely ever upgrade cards in a laptop, getting a dx9 laptop now would be a waste if you were going to get a dx10 not long after.

It will be interesting, however, to see if the 9400s/xps 1710s will take the new mobile 8600s or 8800s.

From what i understand, C2D based lappys with onboard graphics will beoffering the Intel GA3000 GPU (DX10) if its just DX10 support your after within a month for some models. (Lenova has one)

Obviously if for games, i would expect a good 2-3 months yet.

There are a couple coming out ATM with Radeon X2300 gpus in 'em - ATIMD's new DX10 lot. Whether those models get here is another matter. According to notebookcheck.net, performance is approx that of a 7300 Go, so no setting the world on fire with this one.

But no gaming DX10 lappy cards yet.

/me learns lesson to think properly (4pp 2vp and I think it's DX10 ), read up myself, and not trust the crap that spews out some ppl's mouth/fingers. I thought X1400 was X1300 rebadged (but with higher clock), so there's another rebadged X1300 around...

but seriously WTF are they doing with naming when every other X2k card is DX10 and R6x/RV6xx.

and a mate was just reading Wikipedia's entry on R600 and apparently there ARE DX10 "X2300" cards planned. So excuse me for being confused between the DX9 X2300 and DX10 X2300!

there was rumours of a x2300 HD edition (TheInq ?) that would be DX10... but that has yet to appear.

not the first time ATI has done this... nvidia in the past has pulled the same trick as well for the budget end.
