Hry guys,
So i've been trawling ebay recently, and I stumbled across the NES section. So this got me remembering all the good times I used to have back in the day with Mario, Zelda etc. My question is, if I was to buy an old NES, what are some classic games I should look out for? Obviously the mario series, and zelda 2. Oh and The Double Dragon series. Any others that are must haves?

I'd give my left nut to play Kid Icarus, Mega Man or TMNT again. Buying a NES console on ebay would be less painfull....

I thought about just getting an emulator and some roms, but nothing beats sitting in front of the tv with the nes controllers.
So far i'm looking for the marios, double dragons, zelda, mega man 2 (the best according to the gamespot nes vid I watched) and TMNT. There's a few lightguns on ebay aswell, with duckhunt. Might be worth looking into.

International Cricket - I think it was made by Beam.
I wasted a good chunk of my childhood on that game. If I had put that sort of dedication into learning how to play real cricket properly instead of being a lard-ass on the couch, I could be in the WI's at the moment. I remember how happy I was the first time I got one of my openers to 300 (you could only play 50 over a side games) and then bowled the opposition out for 0

Snow Bros was a good fun two player arcade game. Only gripe was it got a bit repetitive.
Street Gangs was another good two player game. Nothing beats a good side scrolling beat em up game. Pics: http://www.flyingomelette.com/review...rwarehouse.gif http://www.flyingomelette.com/review...ns/rcrshop.gif

I was lucky enough to pick up a second gen NES for $5 at cashies a few years ago. Have Mario 1,2,3, duckhunt (but no light gun), zelda 1&2 + tetris. The essentials.

Snow Bros and Bubble Bobble are great with 2 players.
Bionic Commando. TMNT 2: the arcade game Kid Icarus Kirby many more great onesI can't hink of off the top of my head for some reason. But Duck Hunt and Super Mario were my favourites by far. |
