Q2) I only have an older TV no plasma or LCD the TV itself is only 4 years old will i be able to use the PS3 on it or will i have to upgrade. Q3) What cables are need or are they supplyed? AV or something else? Q4) Do i need any special prgrams to use the streaming of said video to the unit? Thanks guys i know thsat the guys at EB had NO idea what i was getting at today so anyhelp would be awsome and thanks again guys. |

That's a negative to the 1) and 4)..no streaming from PC to the PS3 unless you are running Linux on it. And no wireless support under Linux.

Linux on the PS3. There is no streaming from the PC to the XMB.

As long as the Linux distro you have has a media player able to play DivX/Xvid/Quicktime/WMV then no you don't need to do any conversion

Yeah you can convert them but you can't stream them - it's the tradeoff.
