Samsung Q35 - Laptop

Would this be a suitable laptop to use as home theatre and general use as a desktop

No one has heard of it !

So what laptop is good value around $1,500-
Screen size unimportant I'll connect to my Samsung 19inch LCD
To be used as a desktop and only used stand alone occasionally so battery life not critical !

Performance close to a desktop ?
