Default REQ: Chocolate Fondue Recipe

It's coming up to easter and I figure a nice surprise for my lady friend (instead of copious amounts of packaged chocolate) would be a fondue with some strawberries, banana, marshmellows and the such.

I have a little fondue set sitting around and I figure one of those 8 hour "tealight" candles would be sufficient heat. (?)

Anyway, the real question would be, what makes a good chocolate fondue?

1 mars bar
1 toblerone
Cream

Chuck all the chocolate into a glass bowl and place over a pot of steaming water (Not boiling). Wait for the chocolate to start melting. Add cream until you get the consistency you want. Transfer to your fodue set. Best combo I've ever had.

The tea light candle is enough to keep the chocolate warm. Just keep an eye on it because I had a set where when you get near the end of the chocolate, it actually starts boiling (bubbling and all). So you might want to put the candle out every now and then if you don't want your chocolate to burn.

Other great things for fondue:

Kiwi fruits
Green Apples
Grapes
Cake
And crushed peanuts to roll your chocolate covered stuff in.

I usually get some decent cooking chocolate like Callebaut, melt it down and add some cream and brandy to taste.

You should be able to make some the night before and just refrigerate it.

I would just like to say that it is a really lovely idea and your lady friend is lucky to have such a thoughtful man.
