Question Palm TX killing SD cards ?

I have a Palm TX I have owned since new (1yr old) and it has killed 2 SD cards

I have all my word.doc files on the SD card and use Documents to go to view/edit and backup the files

What happens is that I open a word.doc file on the SD card and when I exit the file the palm will reset

It's happened with 2 SD cards, each one lasted about a 2 months

If I copy all my word.doc files to the palm internal memory they work fine

Anyone have an idea what it could be
