I have just purchased a gps from aldi (Medion gopal PNA 315) for $349 and its probly one of the best purchases i have ever made so easy to use internal 512 mem plus sd card slot can play music veiw pics etc... and what suprised me that it isnt crap like most stuff aldi stocks its realy good made in germany to
any way if any one dosent have one and is looking to get one i suggest you look in to this i had a NAVMAN N60i In-Car GPS for a while and then it died on me and it cost's $894 i and i dont think it comes close to being better or as good as my new gps

Was that price after cashback? Because the TomTom One can be had for as little as $416 now.

lol i paid less than 100 bux for a BT gps, it is so tiny, less than half the size of my motorola v3 razor

and i can use it on pda, laptop and more advanced mobile phones.

pick up signals very fast and very reliable.

But that doesn't come with any of the software which is where it costs the most.

cough *software* cough

well, i fully support ppl paying 400+ for the softwares which i think is great. but there are other cases where paying such a high fee for the software is not justifiable.

hug my ADSL2 modem

i prefer it over stand alone in car unit simply it has many advantages:

1: being so small, i can carry it in my pocket without any discomfort

2: battery time is 10-14 hours, longer if on in car charger

3: can work with so many other devices, not limited to the unit itself

4: since it is so remote, close friends or family can borrow it instead of borrowing the whole car (haha)

5: cheap, did i mention cheap?

Theres a Soniq GPS system from JB Hifi going for $249 after $50 cashback. Looks nice with a big screen. Saw the demo running and it looked good

What happens when you need to update maps - does Aldi/Medion offer an update service?

Bought my GPS for $70 A "faulty" Eten G500 pocket PC/GPS from eBay. It needed a lot of repair, but I'm very happy with it now.

I'll add to that:

6: If your phone is a Nokia N or E series, get onto the nokia site and download the nokia GPS guiding system for FREE

Hope this helps some of you!
