Default Palm Treo 750

Hey guys,

Looking to buy one of these mainly for the PDA functionality and the fact it is NextG.

I will also be looking to use it as modem for my laptop while im out and about and NEED the net.

Just wondering, anyone had any experience with it? Are they good quality? The only other thing i would be looking at is the iMate Jas-Jam, would i be better with the Palm?

Thanks in advance

I have one and use it for the exact thing your wanting... ive had no problems with it... NextG isnt super fast but its better than dialup! :P most pages load quick enough anyways... smakk keys on the qwerty board take a bit of getting used to... and it being Windows Based is one part i love... out of 10 id give it about a 7....

Personally, i'd get the JasJam over the treo. Both have Next G support, but the 240x240 screen on the treo is VERY limiting with a lot of software, themes etc that simply don't support it.

Add in the aftermarket support the JasJam has (ie, free updates to WM6 etc on XDA) its a much better buy.

Also, the keypad, battery and usage is much better on the JasJam (Dopod 838 pro, Hermes etc etc is what its also known as)

Just my two cents, but i was going to start selling the Treo's, but opted not to after using it for two days. 2/3's of the software i had simply didnt work, those that did were cumbersome to use due to not nativly fitting on the square screen.

The jasjam can be had on $50 plans with 30mb of data IIRC...
