No Ethernet port is a bit annoying. Guess you could use a USB Network adapter, but yeh

But I'd still like one for work. Would be great to use with barcode scanners/etc - rather than lugging a laptop around.

why bother?

a tablet PC will do the same job at a fraction of the price (that said, was the tablet PC merely a fad thats passed now?)

Still too heavy for when u need to carry the machine around to do Inventories/Asset Tracking/etc. (PDA based on the other hand is too complex for something that an Access database can do fine.)

Why the fuck are they running Vista on fucking 1ghz ULV?

I'll tell you why,

BECAUSE THEY ARE PAID TO.

Fucking bullshit.

I don't even see any use for it, its not like you will be comfortable writing with that thing with a stylus in any case, not to mention your cuffs always scratching it, prints smudging it, etc. what yer-uck!

im after good res, with enough grunt to playback video etc.

OR...I get a Toshiba M400 tablet pc...its bigger, but far more powerful...could actually do a bit of photoshopping on it

Well, if you're gonna photoshop and stuff a C2D might be worth the extra speed over the Pentium M's.
