i am currently enquiring about that, There were camera's around, but because 3 groups were on one side of the building and our group was down stairs on the other side of the building would be hard to get all of us. but i will see what i can dig up. and then it will be hitting the y to the tube.

This kit is some of my kit, not the whole shebang) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LwWb_PsrNA Now some links to my bands http://www.myspace.com/brokenhill http://www.myspace.com/jazzschool Sorry, I don't have any full setup pics of my kit, its just too hard to get inside Last edited by gavlewis; 14th June 2007 at 5:46 PM. |

Why so many top-end cymbals but a 'mediocre' kit?

that video wass really good.
How old are you mate. You are definatly in. Same question though, What is with the low end kit? just the fact you got so many parts? I would like to see a small section of the kit set up, from like your door. what i find a good shot is a photo from above, stand on your stool and take it. It would be good. HOw long have you been learning cause your stick control is quite astounding.

Although many of you think of the export as a low end kit, the way I have it tuned makes it sound gold, here is a sound file of my kit in the studio with minimal EQ and compression etc on it. http://gavin.jgk-cs.com.au/drums_test.mp3 Here is an older setup of my kit outside one time. Its not the full kit, by the 7 Piece size I was using regulary at the time. http://gavin.jgk-cs.com.au/PB170061.JPG |

sweet, That recording was quite good. drums sound really decent.
Why do you have a dixon stool if everything else is pearl :P not to worry, I still have the dixon stool from my first kit. It's a nice wine red, look quite good with the black hardware, HOw come you mount your toms so high? Bit of a Mike Bordin style :P Overall I like your kit for a pearl (I don't like pearl)

Stool came with the original 5 piece kit, haven't bothered to upgrade it cause it does the job alright.
No idea why I mount the toms to so high, they're comfortable like that. I sit resonably high so I reach them without hitting the rims really easily. |

Sacrilege ! Pearl make great kits. One of the nicest kits I ever heard was a Pearl BLX.

I like the way your kit is set up in that last one. I'm thinking of getting something similar, minus the floor tom left of hats. (selling my current kit, getting a pro M).
Nice recording btw, toms sound nice
