Default Screen alignment on O2 PDA

I've got an O2 XDA II mini PDA which works well except for one thing.

I have to continually align the screen.
(i.e. calibrate it so the screen detects the stylus touching the screen at the correct place).

Sometimes it will work fine for days.
Other times it lasts 1/2 an hour before needing it to be done again.

The firmware version(s) are as follows:

ROM version: 1.12.00 WWE
ROM date: 05/28/05
Radio version: 1.12.00
Protocol version: 1337.42
ExtROM version: 1.12.920 WWE

Note: I have just recently installed a screen protector, but the problem was present prior to this.

Any ideas?

Try a hard reset, if that doesn't solve the problem, a firmware upgrade could help.

just remember to backup before a hard reset!

also if the hardreset works, dont restore your registy, just reinstall al the apps individual as it could be a registy setting that was missing/corrupt that caused the problem.
