Toshiba Stallite Pro 6100 laptop notebook

Hi
Can anyone please tell me what the Toshiba Stallite Pro 6100 laptop notebooks are like are what promblems they had and how much would one be to buy in good cond?
Any help would be great

no other series of IBM-compatible laptops have suffered as many problems as these piles of derelict garbage.

their biggest issue was the solder on the power board/video card coming loose, causing major problems with startup issues and garbled video.

ive fixed a couple of TE2000s by resoldering the contacts under the keyboard which connect the video card and power supply to the mainboard, but its a finnicky thing to do.

my recommendation - stay the hell away. even from the newer TE2300 series - there are better models for the same price out there.

(its a shame toshiba dropped the ball on this one because ive owned a few toshies in the past, admittely no satellites only tecras and porteges, and theyve all been nothing but brilliant
