Default FPS Stress Test

My PC:
Asus P5B
E6600 @2.4ghz
OCZ Platnium Ram 2gig, 4-4-4-15
Gainward 7950gt 512meg

His PC
Asus Commando
E6600 @2.4ghz
Corsair ram 2gig 5-5-5-15
Inno3d 8800GTS

ok me and my mate have very similar computers, every part is the same, but he has a better graphics card, i have a 7950gt he has a 8800gts

on the stress test we both run the same settings (he runs his AA a bit higher) i get 93fps, he gets 232.

how is it possable that his gfx is pulling a extra 130+ fps when our ram and cpu are the same.

im thinking something is bottlenecking my pc?

I see nothing strange about that. The 8800GTS is a lot more powerful than the 7950GT. Your system's probably bottlenecked by the video card.

Even so, I don't see why it matters. 93 FPS should be quite adequate - and more than most LCDs can display anyway.

Yep, there's something wrong with that. I had an E6600/2GB/512 7950GT and i got 5200 with everything on stock, and a smidge over 6000 with the CPU @ 3GHz and the GPU @ 620/1500.

Oh, and 165-180fps in the stress test with everything maxed @ 1680x1050.
