Hi gents my mates girlfirends laptop has refused to see the HDD and is making a cool clunking noise which tells me its rat shit

Is there anything else I should try ?

you could try changing the hard disk?

if its actually making noises and isnt recognised or giving errors, its screwed.

chuck up a WTB for a laptop HDD and you'll find a replacement pretty quick
