Thought they were a reliable brand
and they run 'cool'

but they seem exxy for the specification !

Can you recommend something else ?

Fairly fast, 15"
For downloading movies and TV shows and code conversion etc

The A8's are the lowest model Tecra. We have 2 at work that I ordered. They seem a bit flimsy and cheaply made compared to the other Tecra's. I would go for an A7 (which I what I have), better GFX, better specs overall and quite good value for money.
