Default Bluetooth & Dinovo troubles

I just purchased a Logitech Dinovo Laser desktop
It's a refurbished US model with a universal power adapter for the mouse charger (but that shouldn't matter much) It didn't come with a driver cd.

Windows XP won't recognise the Bluetooth dongle, it just comes up as "Unknown USB device"
I'm using a streamlined version of windows, and I think the Bluetooth service may have been removed. I can't see it in Control Panel or under Device Manager, but I can see bth.ini and bth.PNF in C:\WINDOWS\inf folder.

Is there an easy way to restore this service off another copy of WinXP without installing all the other unwanted crap and/or reformatting?

I installed the right version of Setpoint for the Dinovo from the website. I'm currently using an MX1000 wireless, which works straight away. I can't even get into my bios options with this new gear.

*edit* Ok so I unistalled set point and used a non-logitech mouse, reinstalled Setpoint and it discovered the bluetooth dongle, installed the Widcomm drivers and everything. Now it still can't find the kb & mouse

And another uninstall and I'm back to square one.

Yes, I've asked about this at Logitech. Can someone just tell me the magic sequence to install?

Anyone? I suspect it's the bluetooth dongle, as I've maneged to detect it properly twice, but only install the bluetooth software once, no luck on syncing the accessories.
