Default What do you use to clean your MacBook screen?

Don't want to use anything which will ruin the gloss. What do you use? Just a damp cloth? Or?

I use some LCD Cleaning wipes (Rogge brand) I got from OfficeWorks then dry off the screen with a soft micro-fibre cloth. The screen looks as clean and glossy as the day I bought it.

The LCD wipes also work well for cleaning the rest of the case, keyboard and trackpad.

I've got one of these. Optical quality cleaning/buffing cloth, and designed to lie between the keyboard and screen. Which means you always have it with your laptop!

Think you can only get them from the US, costs about $15USD iirc.

I was so desperate I used a soft cloth and windex :/

It actually worked quite well, but don't drench the cloth :P

I usually use one of those glasses/sunglasses cleaning cloths for general wiping of the screen to remove dust and stuff. However if there is something that requires a bit more muscle or you just want to give the screen a good clean use the special cleaning kits you get for glasses. Its a special drip free solution with a good cloth to wipe it off with, costs only a few dollars from glasses stores.

If you decide to use a proper LCD cleaning solution make sure someone else can vouch for it becuase sometimes its just cheap windex. Oh, and never ever use windex. That stuff is designed to be strong enough to wipe outdoor material off the glass.
