What to buy??Acer Aspire 1640Z

Hey guys, i have no idea about laptops at all...like im not sure whats good specs wise..a friend is offering an acer aspire 1640Z practically brand new for $550

wondering if this is the way to go? Would not be used for gaming or anything, just work related stuff. thanks

if it is more than 800 dollars, i will not buy it.

for 1299 dollars, u can at least get a c2d, some shitty graphic card, maybe 7300, at least 80 to 100g hdd and 1 g of ram.

missed that bit, ya, like i said, i will happy to buy it if it is below 800, now 550 even better, just make sure the warranty is still valid.

i got an acer aspire 2010WLMi on ebay a few weeks ago for $450 with a pentium -m 1.5ghz and mobility radeon 9700

dunno if $550 for that is such a good deal, particularly considering how terrible acer laptops generally are...
