Default Laptop/Tablet

Hey Guys.

Probably a stupid or nub question.

But I was wondering if the hardrive in a tablet is the same size as a hardrive in a laptop?

As Im trying to re-image a laptop that I bought and put windows XP on it, but it doesnt have a CD drive and I tried hooking up and External drive to it but it doesnt recognise it in vista and there is no drivers for it!
So Im a bit lost as to how to re-image it!

So was going to try and swap the hardrives.

I dont think this will work so anyone else have any ideas of how I could re-image it please (Remembering the person before me put Vista on it =( so it has problems with some drivers)

Yes they would be. 99% of laptops use the 2.5" HDD design. The only difference is whether it's IDE or SATA.

carefully though, tablets are meant to be smaller generally so they use the 1.8" (newer models anyway) just search for the user guides online and you can check.

Also you will have to install additional tablet drivers and such that are not detected in the laptop.
