Hey guys,

I've been browsing some of the threads in here to try and bone up on what's good and what's not in laptops at the moment as I'm in the market for a portable or ultraportable.

After spending a good bit of time looking around, a few have stood out as being good value. First, the Dell M1210. It is ultraportable, which I like. It has a decent CPU and with 2gb of ram I think it'd be a good little performer. The other is the BenQ S31V. They are almost down to a grand now and if I wasn't into gaming it would be a good choice. I could still consider it but would have to refrain form games, unlike the Dell.

If anyone cares to share their views on these two I'd appreciate it (I already know how highly the Dell is regarded) or even some other suggestions in a similar price range, say up to $1600 (C2D, 1GB ram, Media reader and 13" screen or less)

Cheers!
