Unhappy Help! There is a bug in my LCD

I turned my laptop (xps m1210) on this morning and found a few black pixels...at first i thought they are dead pixles but then it started moving.

It seems to be between one of the layers...any ideas what i should do? It has stopped moving and is just sitting in the corner .

here is pic:

lol.

Maybe find someone who knows how to disassemble the LCD panel? I've done a quick google on it but can't find anything for the M1210 specifically. Still under warranty?

yeah still has warranty (only few months old and i made sure i got the 3 year with accident cover etc)...i think i'll give them a call and see what can be done...i tried to "massage" the lcd but it isnt going anywhere...guess i'll have to send it back.

[edit] you'd think the LCD would be sealed so no dust etc can get in...how a bug gets in there is beyond me.

Just an update (incase anyone else gets this rare problem)...i gave the excellent XPS tech support a ring and they have organised a tech to come around to fix/replace the LCD on monday.
Gotta love XPS service

I've had the same thing happen with a 17 inch LCD of mine. The bug moved around in there for a couple of days then just stopped. Is dead in there. I've got a new monitor since then and given that one to my Mum so doesn't bother me anymore

Don't be silly... this requires a reformat/re-installation!

It may have migrated to somewhere near your RAM modules.... better run a memtest.
