Elee2kids Ebay seller in Taiwan. Wasn't particularly the bargain of the century but seemed to be the most trustworthy and safe option (6977+ feedback rating) for the price ($450 + free shipping which was super fast!). This particular model is getting harder to buy now since its been superseeded for a while by the V2 Sport, but I rathered go with this one based on its looks and others opinions on its performance.
I've seen the Sport V2 and the 3GX Pro V2 for cheaper than that price, so it might seem crazy that I bought the old version. I did some reading about the 3GX system by Align and many people say it is rubbish, hard to set up and generally lower quality than the other two main options for FBL. Also the TT durability turned me off the Pro version.

http://www.flying-hobby.com/shop/ In order to see the discounted pricing, you will need to register first. Many of the guys at my flying field (myself included) buy their helis from them as they have very competitive pricing, quick postage (they are based in Hong Kong) and good after sales service. On a separate note, below is a photo of my Logo 600 that was taken last weekend. The Logo 600 is German made and I have configured it to swing 625mm blades (overall wingspan is about 1.4 metres). |

Woo! Just inverted my mCPx v2 for the first time today. Crashed due to loss of power in the first 3 attempts (too rough on the collective or cyclic?), the next 2 times I was relaxed and she rotated through a loop very neatly!

Inverted CPs, ha that's nothing, I flew my Syma S107G in a figure 8 around the office yesterday!
![]() Jokes aside, this thing is crazy stable. Hovers better than my old Lama!

Cheers mate, it definately is more fun to do it with the real thing. I haven't been able to fly much lately because its either been too wet, or too windy. Keen to go out and try some more stuff now!

I would recommend a Blade mCP X (costs around $250 with everything you need) as a starting point for collective pitch. A SIM would also be a great idea if you are serious about progressing in the hobby. |

That or buy a cheap electric 3/4 channel from jaycar or ebay (in australia) and RTFM before you fly it.

The following web site gives a great introduction for those wanting to get into "hobby grade" helis:
http://www.rchelicopterfun.com/index.html If you want the least amount of frustration, I would stick to either Blade or Align for your first collective pitch heli. Both give you decent quality, great parts availability and lots of online support on the forums. |

My poor mCPx just took a beating at lunchtime today. Pulled out of a low loop with heaps of airspeed and smashed into the grass. She held up pretty well, my shopping list of broken parts was amazingly small:
Smashed Canopy Snapped Feathering Shaft Lost Blade Grip Bearing ![]() Lost Ball Linkage Pretty cheap repair for such a heavy crash.
