Default Elite Release Date?

Hey guys sorry to bother you all like this but I was hoping someone could help me out.

I'm in the market for an XBOX 360 Elite package. I was hoping to buy it with my Tax Return. I haven't found it in any stores though. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that it was meant to be released in Australia in April for $749.99 or is this incorrect?

Is it worth the wait or should I just go out and get the Pro pack?

It should be out in August or September. $749 RRP was rumoured, but it might come out here for less than that depending on when Microsoft drops the Premium price.

Elite also has some HD decoding inbuilt or something like that. Just what I have been told.

I am waiting for the Elite to be released.

IMO there is no real reason to release the elite in aus yet since we have no video marketplace to take advantage of the 120gig hdd. Also if you are looking for hdmi you can get it in the halo branded xbox coming in sept.

But nevertheless, im sure people will still want one.

Except for people who want to buy a 360 now but don't want to buy one thats going to be out of date in a couple of months.

Regionalized releases are annoying, the Elite has been out for ages elsewhere. Maybe they're waiting for AUS stock of older models to sell through first, which is bs, cause there is probably a lot of people holding out to buy an elite. btw, the halo edition looks like ass, black elite ftw

Wouldn't it be in "Games" if it were a computer game?

And regarding the Halo3-branded HDMI 360:

Pity it's ugly as sin...

dipped in poo...

then vomited on...

But I guess some people like that sort of thing!
