Default GeiL ultra PC6400 800mhz (racing orange heatspreader)

hey guys i was wondering if i was to change my ram timing to 4-4-4-12 do i need to put some volts in ? and my memset say its 5-5-5-15.
sorry i'm a new to OCing and please be gentle on me :P.
Any help would be appreciated.

yeah, i got the same ram, and i had to put +0.2V into it for it to be stable in memtest 4-4-4-12//400. I'm not sure what voltage it was running stock (on an 965P-DS3) i have a feeling that it was 1.8V stock though.

This is from some testing I did with the GeIL Ultra PC6400 on the Intel BadAxe2 and ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboards.


Intel BadAxe2

GeIL Ultra PC6400 4-4-4-12 (2.1-2.3v)

381Mhz 3-4-3-10 2.28V





475Mhz 4-5-4-13 2.2V Max CAS4 overclock





507Mhz 5-5-5-15 2.2V Max overclock.






ASUS P5N-E SLI

GeIL Ultra PC6400 4-4-4-12 (2.1-2.3v)

461Mhz 4-3-3-3 2.258v



490Mhz 5-4-4-4 2.178v
