Three Oaks apple cider - very apple-y, a lot like fizzy alcoholic apple juice. I think it's great.
Also had a poke at some sub-$4/bottle passion pop ripoff last night for shits and giggles. I actually thought it was pretty good for the price. My GF told me I'm such a cheap bogan drunk :'( |

About to sample;
*Leffe Brune *Leffe Radieuse *Fullers Past masters Double stout Not sure if I will taste all tonight as they are all highish ABV and have done the fullers PM double stout before (in fact a number of them as i think its my favourite Im expecting the brune to be similar to the fullers with that whole fruit and nut chocolate/caramel thing going on without the stout mouth. But I could be wrong, will post thoughts later on. |

the brune wasnt quite what i thought it would be like.
i really enjoyed the radeuise. leffes range has a very subtle similar flavour/aroma throughout their range imo. i think its an after taste near the front of the palate? i enjoy them all with the radeuise being my favourite. although i do like banana flavours in blonde beers. the fuller PM dbl stout is currently my favourite stout and drink. a huge twist in comparison to main stream pub stouts like coopers, cascade etc. but i really enjoy the smokey caramel fruit and nut choc bar that i get out of it. well worth the $8 per bottle imo. |

cooking steak burgers tonight, scotch fillet, brie, salad mix and a really nice relish. beer battered chips as a side. nothing fancy but good footy food.
so decided ive been drinking too much stout even though that would be my go too for such a meal. i thought i would be a rebel and break the rules haha. going with a big bottle of duvel, oh i do like. not cheap but very cheerful with such a high ABV that is well hidden amongst its various qualities. |

anyone here go to a bottle shop and do the random beer from countries you do not understand the label. remembered getting a few beers from austria, italy, poland and some other country. did not understand what the label said because its not in english. i just know its beer as it was with the other beers that i recognise.
