Hi all.

Good to see some BOINC activity happening in OCAU. SETI isn't my cuppa T, each to there own.

I would like to point out that 'optimized clients' on BOINC don't do any extra work... they simply fudge the point system and are widely considered as cheating. Again it's your own calll. I'd just hate to see anything that might damage the reputation of OCAU, just 'cause ya didn't know.

Anyhoo keep up the good work, and make sure you join the OCAU team, whatever project your working on. I just started a couple of old machines on QMC, looks like a good one.

Cheers 'N' beers.

I joined in january. I usually sat back from the top of the charts but recently added a whole farm of machines. With more to come. Im 8th now which is excellent.

Lets focus on not only beating Sugaris :P but also kicking the ass of the teams above us. We're overclockers australia, lets show the world how much we can crunch!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Did you know that the OverClockers Australia credits aren't going to the Australian overall stats? Our position should be No.2 in all Australian BOINC teams, behind BOINC@Australia.

SETI and WCG are the reason for this as they are both registered as an International team and not Australian. This doesn't just affect these teams but all BOINC project stats.

We have 38,947,966 points at this time and none of it goes to the Aussie overall team stats!

Manaz needs to change that as the founder of the SETI team and likewise SRHardy for the WCG team. If they cannot be contacted, as I suspect, then an active member of these teams needs to apply to take over the team and alter the nationality.

We will then be able to claim or rightful position on the stats boards as an Aussie team.

Well, I am going to upgrade this historic PC to something remotely
worthy to crunch with.

I have not crunched a WU in about TWO years, sorry guys.

This week I am building this PC
E6750
Intel® Desktop Board DP35DP
2x KINGSTON PC6400 1GB DDR2 800MHZ
8800GT 512MB

My drives haven't changed hehe
2x120GiB PATA
1x 320GiB SATA

I'll be buying new SATA drives soon tho to replace the PATAs

What kind of performance do you guys think I'll get with BOINC?

Well, I upgraded the ol'e boxen and it seems to do a WU in around
26 minutes. Pretty damn quick.

Still setting the box up so my daily WU rate is not going to be as high
for another few days.

Time to aim for the charts again.

I've been doing this since Sept 07', but there is plenty of work coming up so obviously more volunteers please!

Default Just started again.

Just started SETI@HOME again but i see some thing wrong with this picture.

121 out of 1112 people doing some work...

Been bush for last year and a bit working, just got back and turned the system on and put the system back to full time work.

Come on need more then the 121 workers might gain some spots?

Working under the name on "andy" for overclockers australia.

anyone know how to get the old style screen saver to work? I tried a few settings that I found on another site, but i still get the boring Boinc logo as a screen saver. Maybe because my POS laptop hasnt got a 3D card?
