Well the demo seems to run shitloads better than the german version with 1.02 patch, also all the bugs I found seem non existant. So guy if you had a bad experience I suggest you wait for the final EU/EN release.

interesting that the demo seems vastly improved performance wise on the full version. Hope they rectify the full version soon.

yeah i have the EU version and it still runs like shit, so hopefully they have a patch in the works that will make the game what it should be soon.

Yeah I think you need to wait for the proper American english release, I think you will find that will be far more polished then any of the releases available at the moment.

I'd say that has little to do with optimisations, but rather to do with smaller world, smaller number of ai etc etc.

I mean when I play armoury etc and do even decent AI missions, my FPS does not dip below 59. Even flying with 4k draw distance is 60fps non stop..

But bigger campaign missions just go to shit, the thing is I don;t think its to do with CPU limitation, i mean I played the game with -cpucount=1 and I found no difference in FPS in the campaign...

Anyway perhaps they see what additional crap kills the performance.

True, I do remember training being very quick for me, so you might be right.

Hey all,

I have an opty 170 skt939 (dual core) and 7950GT sli and 2GB of ram.

No matter what I do, I cant break 20fps.

I have my settings down to low/off everything, 800*600 resolution and draw distance of 400.

Does this seem reasonable, or something gone awry?

SLi is hard to get going, I posted a EVGA SLi enable a page or 2 back.

Common ways of getting SLi running, rename the .exe to crysis64.exe (or crysis.exe if your in 32 bit land). Also add the -winxp to your shortcut.

This will get SLi going, or not.. the game has serious performance discrepancies.

Oh ok. I turned SLi off for a while and didn't make a scrap of difference. Do you think I am CPU bound?

How do you get team members to mount vehicles? If I press tab to select all members then click on the vehicle it just goes 'all, observe that x' and if I do one by one eg f2 f3 etc and select 'get in hmmv' and press enter it just goes '2, observe that hmmv' no matter what I do they will not board any vehicles, making playing the game almost impossible. Also if I tell my squad to move there the game often crashes to desktop.

Any hints guys? Also for some reason if I have the exe called cyrsis64.exe it crashes when I try and get them to mount a vehicle, however with it called arma2.exe it just says 'observe that'.

It's definitely not fade as everything else in the game works fine and I'm using a legitimately purchased version.

Boarding stuff = press ~ to select all, then click on vehicle. OR press ~, then 4, then the number that corresponds to the vehicle you want them to board. OR, press ~ then then aim at vehicle and press middle mouse button.

If it CTD that sounds like your language files are mixed up, it did that to me when I installed them incorrectly and radio commands didn't match up. To test this theory, go in game and press 0, 5, then pick under fire or injured, if it doesn't match up to what he calls out then thats your problem. Then again I am retarded so follow that info at your own risk.

This seems to be the problem, the commands don't match up with what they do. How do I fix this, could someone send me the english language files for the 1.02 patch?

Well the problem depends on what you did in the first place. Lots of English mods out there have extra files you don't need, or people do straight over rights. Using it as an addon is the best way I have found now. I'll go upload it all and post it, lookout for the edit on this post.

Edit: Download file here, extract the folder inside to your ARMA2 directory, ie:

E:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2

DO NOT rename the folder name, otherwise the following below won't know what to point to.

On your ARMA2 shortcut, not the main exe, add this marked in red to the end of whatever you have, you can use the -nosplash too, to get rid of all those loading screens when you start up A2:

"E:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -nosplash -mod=@English
